What to expect from your consultation
Before your appointment
After you make contact, you will be sent for relevant blood tests. Dr Visser reviews your results in advance, so that during your time together you can focus on understanding your symptoms and deciding on the best way forward.
In-depth consultation
You first appointment is a full hour, allowing time to discuss your perimenopause or menopause symptoms, health history, and concerns without being rushed.
A clear, personalised plan
Dr Visser reviews your symptoms and blood test results with you, and together you agree on the most appropriate care plan and next steps, including hormone replacement therapy (HRT) where appropriate. Follow-up consultations give you the opportunity to monitor your progress and adjust your care as needed.
About Dr Adele Visser
Dr Adele Visser is a clinical pathologist with more than 20 years’ experience in both the public and private healthcare sectors, with additional diplomas in transfusion medicine and tropical medicine and hygiene.
Through conversations with women navigating perimenopause and menopause, she became increasingly aware of how many women were struggling with unanswered questions and persistent symptoms. This led her to pursue formal training in menopause medicine through the North American Menopause Society, where she qualified as a Certified Menopause Practitioner.
She now combines her expertise in pathology and menopause care to provide thoughtful, evidence-based medical treatment. Rather than relying on blood tests alone, Dr Visser takes a comprehensive, patient-centred approach – listening carefully, interpreting investigations in context, and working in partnership with each woman to support her long-term health and wellbeing.
